Day 4 : A day in the city of the Beatles

P1170445

This morning we arrived in Liverpool then we separated into two different groups and we went for a walk around the port. It was really pleasant because the sun was shining ! Later we went to visit the Beatles Story museum. The staff gave us some headphones and we learned about the story and some anecdotes about the group. That was cool because they had recreated all the decors used in the Beatles’ songs and films (like the Yellow Submarine and The Cavern). We could also hear many of their songs !

Just after lunch, we went into a museum to watch a mini movie in 4D. It was funny because some of us were scared or surprised and we got wet ! After this fast but hilarious experience, we tried to learn a few things in a museum about Titanic and the Slave Trade. A lady who was a guide and teacher in University caught us and spoke to us about her family and her origins. She was interesting but she didn’t want to let us go !

Then we had about two hours of free time . In Liverpool there are many shops so we really enjoyed it !

Day 2: Wales

DSCN5355Today or not today, that is the question… (lol)

On Tuesday, we woke up at 6.00am instead of 7.00 because we forgot the jetlag. (lol) We left home at 7.55 but Peter, our host, took the wrong way, so we were late. We spent time on the bus but that was not too expensive. (lol)

We drove to Wales and more particularly to Caernarfon Castle. That was very cool.

We ate too much for the hike in the afternoon in Snowdonia. At the end of the hike, there was rain.

The day was funny and the view was beautiful!

Our first day in England!

Hello from England!

We woke up very early this morning to go to England. We left Dunkirk at 7.00 am and went to Calais to leave the Shuttle. We arrived at 8.30am English time. We met our guide in Oxford. The town is famous for its prestigious university, one of the best in the world. We saw different colleges, libraries and visited Trinity College. It was very interesting and beautiful!
